Plow Disk Wok For Outdoor Cooking

A local customer came in the shop with a few old plow disks and asked if I could make a wok for them. Converting a plow disk into a wok is not too difficult. We measured the hole in the center and cut a 1/4" thick steel circle on our CNC plasma cutter. Once the circle was cut we welded it in the center using our Miller Dynasty 200 DX TIG welder. Once welded in place we polished it down to make it smooth for easier cleaning and cooking. Next we designed some handles in Solidworks and also cut them on our CNC plasma table. Once the handles were cut out we tumbled them with heavy stone to give them more of a used look. Check out the finished product.
