When building a Jeep JL, JLU, or JT to run 40 inch tires, the factory inner fenders quickly become a limitation. They take up space in the wheel well, restrict suspension travel, and interfere with larger aftermarket shock systems.

Unlike most shocks, Falcon shocks use an integrated reservoir that is part of the main shock body. At the top of the shock, this reservoir extends outward perpendicular to the shock body. This unique design creates a clearance problem that standard inner fenders cannot accommodate.
