Why would I make the B-pillars removable?
Builders running half doors often want a cleaner and more open appearance. Removing the upper B-pillars creates a more open side profile while still allowing the pillars to be reinstalled when desired.
Can I use this kit with the factory roll bar?
No. This kit is designed to work with an aftermarket roll cage. The upper B-pillars attach directly to the cage structure using the supplied mounting hardware.
Does this work on both the Jeep JLU and Jeep Gladiator JT?
Yes. The kit is designed for both platforms. However, the instructions are based on a JLU installation. JT builders should use the actual half doors to determine the final cut location rather than following the level-marking method shown in the instructions.
Can I reinstall the B-pillars after they are removed?
Yes. The system is designed so the upper B-pillars can be removed and reinstalled while keeping the mounting hardware concealed for a clean appearance.
Can I continue using the factory seat belt mounting locations?
No. Once the B-pillars are modified, front seat belts should be mounted to the aftermarket roll cage. The included blank-off plates cover the original mounting locations as a safety reminder.
Is this a permanent modification?
Yes. The factory B-pillars must be cut during installation. Once modified, the vehicle cannot be returned to its original factory configuration.
