Product details

Factory Jeep JK and JKU front fenders run out of room fast once tire size, suspension travel, and articulation increase. The lower rear section near the firewall is one of the first places larger tires start to rub, especially when the suspension compresses off-road. Most bolt-on flares only cover the tire and leave the weak factory quarter panel and cowl exposed.

The Motobilt Tomahawk Front Fenders were built for Jeep owners who want real front corner clearance and actual armor, not just a flare swap. This system completely replaces the factory front fender and quarter panel with a full steel front corner armor package that includes upper cowl armor. Instead of working around the factory body lines, the Tomahawk design reworks the entire front corner to create the room needed for larger tires, more suspension travel, and better clearance in technical terrain.

These fenders deliver some of the most aggressive clearance available for the JK and JKU platform. Builders gain approximately 1.53 inches of extra clearance in the lower rear section where tires traditionally contact during articulation, along with roughly 3 inches of added vertical clearance above the factory flare line. The front section near the grille is also cut higher, making these fenders compatible with front stretch builds and larger tire setups. Built from 1/8 inch laser-cut steel with a flat-top profile inspired by classic Jeep styling, this system gives the front corners the strength to handle real trail abuse while keeping the body tighter and cleaner. For builders looking to finish the front end properly, these fenders pair with Motobilt MB1274 or MB1274-B inner fenders for a complete front corner setup.

Additional product details & documents

Bring old-school flat-top attitude and unmatched clearance to your Jeep JK / JKU. The Tomahawk Front Fenders include cowl armor, and is a complete front-corner armor system—replacing your entire front quarter panel and factory fender with heavy-duty steel for extreme durability and maximum tire room.

The Tomahawk Front Fender delivers the most tire clearance of any JK/JKU fender on the market:

+1.53" of clearance gained along the lower rear section where tires traditionally rub
+3" of vertical clearance above the factory flare line
Front stretch? No problem, as these fenders are cut higher in the front by the grill for additional tire clearance
- Complete Armor- Completely replaces your entire front quarter panel and factory fender INCLUDING the upper cowl armor and not just the flare.

This extra clearance makes room for larger tires, less rubbing, better compression travel, and more confidence in technical terrain.

Built from 1/8" laser-cut steel, these fenders follow the straight-line, flat-top profile inspired by classic Jeep styling—modernized with Motobilt strength. Once installed, your entire front corner becomes armor, ready for real trail abuse.

While installation is mostly bolt-on, cutting is required to achieve the extreme clearance this system provides.

These fenders pair perfectly with MB1274 or MB1274-B inner fenders for a complete front-end upgrade that looks as good as it performs.
