Rockstar Performance Garage has done it again. Their latest project, the RKLNDER (Rocklander), is a purpose-built rig that bridges the gap between rock crawling brute force and overlanding versatility. Designed to go anywhere and do anything, RKLNDER made its debut at SEMA and turned heads with its sharp styling and trail-proven function. And yes—we’re proud to say this beast features several Motobilt components at its core.

The suspension system is anchored by ORI struts, allowing the rig to transition between overlanding and rock crawling without needing to swap springs or disassemble shocks. These nitrogen-filled struts allow for on-the-fly adjustments with tools like Power Tank’s dual nitrogen system, offering serious utility for balancing load and articulation.
To connect those suspension components, RKLNDER runs a Rockzilla kit, which required fully invasive modifications, including relocating the factory fuel tank. The new mid-mounted tank, along with a custom 1350 J. E. Reel driveline, helps manage the upgraded wheelbase and tire setup—40-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Legend MTZ tires mounted on Dirty Life Mesa beadlocks.
Axle strength is handled by DynaTrac housings with Yukon 5.38 gears, air lockers, and chromoly shafts—all chosen to withstand the abuse of hardcore trail use and long-distance expeditions. A Yukon air compressor handles locker activation with ease.
Inside the vehicle, PRP seats, a flat-bottom carbon fiber steering wheel, and a full Rugged Radios intercom system add comfort and utility. Electronics and lighting are powered by a dependable Odyssey battery, with visibility provided by a comprehensive Baja Designs lighting package, including LP4s, rock lights, dome lights, and an XL Linkable across the front.
RKLNDER’s body features a custom two-stage Prismatic Powder finish with “LP Blue” and “Burnt Toast Black” tones. It’s complemented by a Bestop Trektop Slantback soft top and spray-in Patriot Liner on the hard-use areas of the body. For added cargo functionality, the rear features an adjustable CVT rooftop tent rack designed to accommodate both overlanding and trail configurations.
And of course, Motobilt parts are integrated throughout the build to bring it all together.
Built for the Trail. Equipped with Motobilt.
From the roll cage to the bumpers and armor, Motobilt parts were selected to handle everything this rig can throw at them.
Roll Cage System
This build features a Motobilt Roll Cage for Jeep JLU, engineered to integrate with soft tops and hard tops. It ties directly into the structure of the rig and supports a range of configurations—hard top, soft top, rooftop tent, or open-air.
Front and Rear Bumpers
A Motobilt Tomahawk Frame Chop Front Bumper leads the way with aggressive clearance and smart mounting options. Out back, the Motobilt Crusher Rear Bumper with Spare Tire Cutout provides robust protection and accommodates a 40-inch spare.
To securely mount the oversized spare, the build utilizes the Motobilt Spare Tire Carrier for Jeep JL/JLU - 8x6.5, designed to handle the demands of off-road adventures.
Heavy-Duty Rock Rails
This rig is running Motobilt Frame Mounted Rocker Guards—built from thick-wall steel and frame-mounted, not body-mounted, to take real abuse. Whether it’s tight trails or a loaded overland haul, these sliders are built for it.
High Clearance Fenders & Inner Fenders
To clear 40-inch tires with ease and maintain articulation, Motobilt Front Highline Fenders and Motobilt JL/JLU/JT Front Inner Fenders for 40" Tires are installed. These not only look great, but they also provide the space and structure needed for serious off-road use.
Motobilt Tail Lights with Baja Designs
At the rear, RKLNDER features our Motobilt Tail Lights for JL/JLU, customized to house Baja Designs S2 lights. The integrated design offers both form and function, making sure you're visible on the trail without sacrificing durability.
RKLNDER is more than just a showpiece—it’s a capable machine built to crawl rocks, cruise fire roads, and tackle long hauls with confidence. We’re honored to have Motobilt gear trusted in this build, and we can’t wait to see where Nick and the Rockstar Performance Garage crew take it next.
