At Motobilt, we believe the best way to test a product is to put it in the hands of people who use their rigs hard—and that’s exactly what happened when Scott and Ashley from Adventure Further rolled into the MotoDome to install our pre-production Jeep Gladiator Cage Kit.
This wasn’t the first Gladiator cage we’ve ever built—our in-house rig, Rowdy_JT, proudly holds that title—but this was the first time the pre-production version of the kit went into a customer vehicle outside of our team. It was an opportunity for us to fine-tune instructions, gather feedback, and make sure the install experience lived up to our standards.

Built for the Trail—Not Just the Showroom
Adventure Further puts real miles and serious abuse on their Gladiator, so when they asked about stepping up to a real cage, we knew they’d be the perfect team to run this pre-production version. Scott and Bender got to work immediately, tearing out the factory cage and prepping the Gladiator for something far more capable.
We don’t call the stock setup a roll cage—because it’s not. It's thin stamped steel, and offroad enthusiasts have been begging for something more robust. The Motobilt cage replaces all of that with laser-cut, precision-bent DOM tubing, tied into the strongest structural points of the Jeep body.
The Process: Real-World Testing, Real-World Insights
Working alongside Rob “Bender” Park, Scott got a full hands-on walkthrough of the cage install process—from cutting and prep to tack-welding and final fitment. They documented every step, capturing detailed feedback we’ll use to update our 60+ page instruction manual and support content.
