Product details

The Motobilt 6061-T6 aluminum Jeep CJ/YJ/TJ/LJ below tailgate armor mounts directly below your Jeep's tailgate. This armor is made out of 3/16 inch thick 6061-T6 aluminum that is laser cut in house here at Motobilt. The mounting holes are also counter sunk for a clean finish when installed. There are 8 mounting holes in all.

Like our 3/16" steel armor, this 6061 Aluminum armor's thickness is consistent with our other Jeep body armor, thus maintaining a smooth, clean look overall. It is also much lighter than steel.

Important information

Shipped bare aluminum and may require some finishing work before being painted or powder coated.
This part requires drilling holes into the Jeep body to install
Jeep CJ’s will require holes to be drilled for the factory tailgate hinges.
