You hear it scrape before you feel it. The front axle settles onto rock, the Jeep slides forward, and nothing changes in the steering or the seal. No crunch. No shift. Just weight moving where it is supposed to.
That is when a front diff cover earns its place.
The Dynatrac XD60 front axle is built to be driven hard, steered under load, and dragged across terrain that does not care about clearance. The differential cover has to protect the housing opening, maintain clamp load, and survive repeated impacts without cracking or peeling back.
A 3/8 inch thick steel reinforcement ring supports the mounting surface and keeps the cover tight to the housing when the axle is dragged over obstacles. The 1/4 inch CNC formed steel plate absorbs impact without failure, and the cover is welded on both the inside and outside for full penetration and structural integrity. The integrated 3/4 inch NPT fill plug is positioned for easy access, making fluid checks and service straightforward.

This cover ships in bare steel and is intended to be painted. Spray paint works well and allows for easy touch ups after trail use. Installation requires standard hand tools. The steel construction allows brackets or tabs to be welded on if needed for custom steering or other mounts.
When the front axle is loaded, turned, and dragged at the same time, the cover cannot be a question mark. This one stays put, protects the housing, and lets the XD60 keep doing its job without distraction.
