When installing a full roll cage in a Jeep JLU or JT, one area that quickly gets overlooked is the factory mirror bracket cover at the windshield. The factory plastic trim was never designed to work around an internal cage, so it usually ends up getting cut, trimmed, or removed completely during installation.
Once that happens, you are left with an exposed mounting area that looks unfinished. Even on a well-built cage install, this small detail can make the interior feel incomplete. Builders either try to reuse a cut factory piece or leave it open, but neither option gives a clean result.
This Mirror Bracket Cover is designed to solve that exact problem when running the Motobilt MB3096 Roll Cage Kit. It replaces the modified or removed factory trim with a clean, purpose-built cover that fits properly around the mirror mount and integrates with the cage layout.
The part restores a finished appearance to the upper windshield area while keeping the interior looking consistent with the rest of the build. It is a simple piece, but it makes a noticeable difference once everything is installed.
Like the rest of Motobilt products, this was developed from real install experience. Instead of working around factory plastic that no longer fits, this gives you a clean solution that matches the level of detail expected in a properly built Jeep.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a mirror bracket cover when installing a roll cage?
The factory plastic trim does not fit once a cage is installed. It usually gets cut or removed, leaving an unfinished area around the mirror mount.
Can I reuse the factory trim instead?
You can try, but it typically requires trimming and does not sit clean once modified. This cover replaces it with a proper fitting solution.
Is this required with the MB3096 Roll Cage Kit?
It is not required, but it addresses a common finishing issue and helps complete the interior after installation.
Does this fit other roll cages?
It is designed specifically around the MB3096 Roll Cage Kit and may not align correctly with other cage designs.
What does this improve in the build?
It cleans up the windshield and mirror mounting area, giving the interior a more finished and professional appearance.
