Inner Fenders FAQ

What is the difference between fender flares and inner fenders?

Fender flares shape the outer wheel opening and provide tire coverage. Inner fenders cover the area inside the wheel opening. Match the outer and inner parts to your Jeep and to the specific Motobilt fender series.

Do all inner fenders work with factory flares?

No. Compatibility depends on the inner fender. MB1243 can be used with factory flares and a fender chop kit, while MB1274 Tomahawk inner fenders require MB1273 Tomahawk front fenders and do not work with factory fenders.

Will high-line fenders guarantee clearance for my tires?

High-line fenders create additional room at the wheel opening. Final tire clearance also depends on wheel offset, axle width, suspension travel, bump stops and body modifications. Check the complete combination rather than choosing by tire diameter alone.

Does Motobilt armor arrive painted?

Many Motobilt steel armor parts ship in raw steel and need paint or powder coating. Some aluminum parts can be left raw or finished. Test fit your parts before final coating and follow the finish instructions on each product page.
