Jeep JT Gladiator Roll Cage Kits & Parts FAQ

Which cage kit fits the Jeep Gladiator?

MB3096 is the Motobilt cage kit for 2020+ Jeep JT Gladiator models. Check the product page for your exact year, seating and roof configuration.

What is the difference between MB3096 and MB3105?

MB3096 is the vehicle-specific cage kit. MB3105 supplies mounting brackets and hardware for a custom JT cage, with tubing purchased separately.

Can the JT cage retain factory seats and roof?

The MB3096 page describes physical fitment for specified factory seats and hard- and soft-top arrangements, with requirements for each. Factory soundbar and visors are not retained. Seat and roof compatibility does not mean factory safety systems remain functional; cage installation may interfere with or disable airbags and crash sensors. Review the complete product details before installation.

Is professional welding required?

Yes. The JT cage requires vehicle disassembly, fitting, welding and finishing by a qualified professional welder/fabricator. The bracket-only kit also requires custom fabrication. Factory-panel modification may be necessary. Improper installation can result in serious injury or death.

Can Motobilt roll cages be used for racing, motorsports or highway driving?

No. Motobilt roll cages are exclusively for off-road recreational use. They are not designed, tested or rated for racing or motorsports and must not be used for competitive or high-speed activities. They are not certified or intended for on-road or highway use. Installation may render the vehicle non-compliant with federal, state or local requirements.

Does a roll cage guarantee occupant safety or preserve the factory safety systems?

No. A cage improves structural rigidity but does not guarantee occupant safety or survival in every rollover or impact. Cage installation may interfere with or disable airbags and crash sensors. The user assumes responsibility for these effects and the risks of using the vehicle.

What are the installation requirements and risks?

A qualified professional welder/fabricator is required. Improper installation can result in serious injury or death. Modification of factory panels may be necessary. Review the exact product instructions and its Important Safety & Liability Notice before installation.

Can I drill, notch or cut cage tubing for wiring or accessories?

No. Do not drill, notch or cut cage tubing to route wiring or mount accessories; this compromises its strength. If an opening is necessary, the product notice requires reinforcement with a welded-in bung or for the hole to be fully welded closed. Have a qualified professional welder/fabricator address this requirement; do not treat it as permission to leave an unreinforced opening.

What warranty and liability terms apply to Motobilt roll cages?

Motobilt roll cages are sold as-is, without express or implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Motobilt assumes no liability for injury, death or property damage. The end user assumes the risks. Read the full Important Safety & Liability Notice on the cage product page before purchase or use.
