TJ four-link questions
Which system mounts the links to a TJ frame?
MB1517 locates the upper and lower links at the frame and includes the belly skid. The rear uses a four-link layout. The front can use three links with a track bar or four links depending on the steering configuration.
Can I run the MB5020 stretch tank with a Motobilt back half?
No. MB5020 fits the factory TJ or LJ rear frame. It is incompatible with the Motobilt TJ or LJ back-half kits. Decide whether you’re keeping the rear frame before choosing a fuel tank.
Is MB1517-15 the same as the MB1517 suspension kit?
MB1517-15 is the replacement skid plate for an existing MB1517 assembly. For a new installation, start with MB1517 and review the separate links, joints and axle-side components your build needs.
Does installing MB1517 require welding?
Yes. The frame-side assemblies arrive welded, but installing them requires welding to the Jeep frame. The original skid mounting holes help locate the parts during fit-up. Review the instructions and steering layout with your fabricator before disassembly.
